A camera system you actually own—installed by people who understand networks
Most camera installers know cameras. We know cameras and everything they connect to—because we run business IT for a living. That means a system planned around what you need to see, set up safely, and fully documented and handed over to you. No hostage passwords, no black box, no "you'll have to call the guy."
- You keep every password and a full written handover—it's your system
- Cameras kept separate from your computers—they can't become a back door
- Watch from your phone, securely—without leaving your business open to the internet
- Camera angles planned so the footage is actually useful when it matters—not just "a feed"
Sound familiar?
If you've dealt with a camera installer before, you've probably lived at least one of these. They're the reason this service exists.
"It's my system, but I can't get into it"
The installer kept the admin password. You can watch the feed—but you can't add a user, change a setting, export footage yourself, or let anyone else service it. You're a hostage to one person's schedule.
TechHand: full admin credentials and written documentation are handed to you at completion. Always.
"It works—but what did it do to my network?"
Cameras plugged into the same network as your computers and cash registers, factory passwords never changed, and shortcuts taken so the phone app works—shortcuts that leave a door to your business standing open on the internet. The feed stays on—and so does the open door.
TechHand: cameras get their own separate network so they can't touch your computers, every factory password gets changed, and remote viewing is set up the safe way—no open doors.
"They won't work with anyone"
Your IT person asks a simple question and gets stonewalled. There's no documentation, no diagram, no list of what was installed where. Every future change—however small—goes through one installer who's hard to reach.
TechHand: everything is documented so any qualified tech—yours or ours—can support the system. We coordinate with your IT, not against them.
"The footage wasn't there when it mattered"
The one time you actually need recordings, you discover a camera died months ago, the angle missed everything, or storage quietly stopped recording. Nobody was watching the system that was supposed to be watching.
TechHand: camera angles are planned for footage you can actually use, we confirm recordings are being kept as long as promised, and optional monitoring tells us the moment a camera goes dark.
How we do it differently
A camera system is part of your technology, not just hardware on a wall. We install it with the same care we put into the business networks we manage every day.
Step 1
Walkthrough & design
We walk the property with you and design coverage around what you actually need: entrances, registers, blind spots, lighting conditions, and the views that would matter in an incident. You approve the plan and a firm quote before anything is mounted.
Step 2
Clean, secure installation
Tidy cables, properly mounted hardware, cameras on their own separate network away from your computers, strong passwords on every device, and phone viewing set up the safe way—so convenience never comes at the cost of security.
Step 3
Verification & handover
Every camera view is checked in daylight and at night, we confirm recordings are kept as long as agreed, and you receive every password plus written documentation: what's installed, where, and how it's set up. Then we show you how to use it and pull footage yourself.
Ongoing
Optional health monitoring
Pair the system with our monitoring service and we'll know when a camera, recorder, or drive has a problem—before you find out the hard way that footage is missing.
Existing systems
Rescue & takeover
Already have cameras you're locked out of, or a system you don't trust? We audit it, recover access where possible, secure it, document it, and put you back in control of what you paid for.
One team
Part of your whole IT picture
For managed IT clients, cameras become one more documented, monitored asset in your environment—same team, same standards, same visibility.
Our ownership promise
You paid for the system—so you own the system. When the install is done, you receive every password, a written description of how it's set up, and documentation any qualified technician can work from. If you ever want a different provider to service it, they'll have everything they need.
We're confident enough in the quality of the work that we don't need to lock you in to keep you.
What you receive at handover
- Every password, for every device
- Written documentation & a map of every camera
- Proof that recordings are kept—and night views tested
- Safe viewing from your phone, set up and working
- Hands-on training: daily use & saving footage
Camera system questions
The questions we hear most from people burned by a previous install.
